Thanks David! I end up having all this stuff- work got me a GoPro to film my hands on the iPad and a more pro microphone than the headset (which I bought mostly for the quality of being pink). I have a Mac Desktop, a PC Laptop, and an iPad, although I don’t really want to lug this stuff back to work! I also don’t think I have the lighting quite down, but I am reluctant to buy more myself. One of the reasons for the virtual background is a have a janky set up of laps and overhead light and diffuser gels! And I try to do my stage makeup a little. I still haven’t figured out the eyebrow game at home!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I to thought it was babka. But baba sounds good too!

Heh. I have done that very thing before, too. The very first thing I ever ordered online was a pink computer bag from ebags.com. Because pink. I enjoy it as an accent color to my mostly neutral or jewel toned world.
Volans, much kitty ~ma.
Volans, kitty~ma.
Oh, I’m so sorry we missed it! I was deep in virtual HS journalism convention from Thursday until yesterday and missed the details. Would love to host a gathering another time. ND and I both have paid Zoom accounts we could use.
So glad everyone got to honor DX. I’ve been thinking about him a lot.
Kitty-ma for Volans.
Jesse I’m dying to know how the babas were! I have no concept of what they should taste like.
Sorry I missed you all yesterday. Hope to join the next time.
I didn't talk about DX really, partially because we do that here, and partially because I didn't want to ugly cry on camera. It was just really good for the soul to hear the voices and see the faces of people who mean so much to me.
It is possible I said babka, because I keep doing that!
Speaking of yum and recipes, this one looks good, but it's the story (short) that makes me totally want to try it - posted on Post Secret, apparently a secret family recipe of the poster, whose "petty, vindictive aunts" shouldn't be keeping it from the world. Love it. And then it got posted to reddit, ha.
That is a great story and does look good. Our student preacher this morning gave his family recipe for cornbread in the sermon, so it must be that time of year....

It was similar to the get-togethers after ita's death. We honored them by reaffirming our bonds as a community. We carried on Buffista-ing.
