Betty White died. I'm sad that she's gone, but it's hard for me to feel angry when she had such an amazing and long life.

Got a text from mom. Hospice nurse called them around 8:30 tonight and said J has about 24-72 hours. The place he is at is 2 hours away so tomorrow they are going to drive over.

I left the hotel at 4am and stopped for gas. Then I drove until 930am, when I made it to Sacramento. So 5.5 hours. I sat with my friends (who is supposed to have spent the night before at their place) and then left at 11am. I got to Portland at 930pm. So 10.5 hours. For a total of 16 hours driving today. Needless to say I will only see midnight if the fireworks people are setting off manage to wake me up—so happy new year y’all!
