Hey, anyone who's self-employed and had Covid in 2021 can claim Covid-19 Sick and Family Leave tax credits when they file their 2021 taxes: [link] . (I was poking through my end-of-year tax stuff and had totally forgotten about it.)
That may not apply to any Buffista other than me, but just in case, I thought I'd mention it.
404 error at that link, Steph.
Try these: [link] and [link]
eta: looks like the issue with Steph's link is a period at the end of the URL. Without it, I get the page okay: [link]
I still like the IRS links better. :-)
Timelies all!
Ugh. I went back to work yesterday(even though we didn't go to Florida, I still took the days I requested) and found we were quite short staffed. One person was on leave, another was out for a doctor's visit and a third was home awaiting results of a COVID test. That left me and the post-bac to process all the samples until the late-shift person came in at noon. It was pretty rough.
Today was worse. I got to the lab, found nobody there and called my supervisor(who had taken the day off) only to find that the post-bac called in sick, the person who was out yesterday for a doctor's visit was also out sick, and the person who was waiting on test results was still home waiting. That left me as the only person processing samples until the late-shift person got there. (There was one other person in the lab, but she doesn't process samples) Not a fun day.

Ooops, fixed my link. Thanks, dcp!
I'm so sorry, askye.
Sheryl, that sounds like some no-good, very bad days.
My return flights are both delayed. My regional flight is awaiting maintenance to clear the plane because of a bird strike. If we actually depart as rescheduled, I should still be able to make my connection. I'll be getting home even later than planned, but all I really need to do tomorrow is get to the pharmacy before it closes and get groceries.
On a plane now awaiting paperwork!

I have made it to Detroit where my connecting flight has been delayed further, so I am soothing myself with the Celery Juice episode of Maintenance Phase.
