Yikes, so many health issues.
Stay safe everyone!
My brother the ID doc says omicron is "like water", it's just everywhere. And the existing at-home tests have a lot of false negatives. So testing multiple times is good except people can't get the tests. Argh.
I'm parked on my couch for the week, although I think the new CDC guidance says I could go to work bcz I'm asymptomatic and triply vaxxed. But seriously I am not going to do that until after I get tested.
I am in an Uber on the way home. I know they're evil, but they were half the price of Lyft and I am tired.
Husband just started a vaccine convo with the driver. I may need to murder him.
So, unexpected outcome at the OB/GYN: the issue that necessitated the biopsy has healed so well (with a new treatment) over the past 2 weeks that the OB/GYN said she didn't think a biopsy was necessary today and wants to see me again in a month to check it. She was actually speechless for a minute; I said "I think it's improved over the past 2 weeks," and she checked and did an actual double-take. She said it looks like it's healed about 90%, so it's entirely possible I had just needed the new treatment.
Anyway, I didn't have to have needles where needles should never be, so that along with Wow Check Out Your Healing Factor is my big win for today.
That is a big win, Steph! Yay Healing Powers!
Sending the ~ma to Laura, and anyone else who needs it.
Jane tested positive this morning, and since the four of us are stuck in a car together for the next two days, I'm assuming both Mark and I will have it too by the time we get home. Luckily we're all vaxxed to the max, and so far it just seems like an annoying cold; in fact, Rose is already feeling better. (I did buy a pulse oximeter just in case, though, because why not.)
I want to type hugs, but my iPad Keyboard seems to have died and I hate the keyboard on the iPad itself.
But much COVID ma to Kate and family, Sheryl’s kiddo and family, Laura’s friend, Cindy’s son and girlfriend, and everyone else.
Also, I was going to give Steph biopsy ma, but yay! Good news!
I am listening to Buffering the Vampire Slayer-a special on Tara’s death and another on Spike/Buffy rape, and I had totally forgotten that they were both in the same episode. It kind of makes me angry all over again, because it feels like they just slapped 2 groups of fans dreams down, and also shot it really oddly.
Glad to hear that, Tep!
Huh, I had forgotten those were in the same episode, too, Sophia. They feel so separate, somehow.
{ { { Kate&Fam} } }
so that along with Wow Check Out Your Healing Factor
Woot! Slayer!
Oh, Kate that sounds stressful, even with the Maxy Vax. Though the people I
do
know who've had breakthrough infections after vax have all had really mild cases.
