More holiday chilling today. Picking up hogies for lunch, going over to visit and have dinner with DP's mom tonight. We go home tomorrow.
I got a travel watercolor kit for Christmas, which made me think of Lori... and also made me think I need to take some lessons, ha!
dcp, I think you made the right call. Sincere condolences for your loss.. my Dad died just before Thanksgiving lo these many years ago, and it still flavors the holiday for me.

I’m in the office, no one else here in my immediate office and really not too many requests and items coming in so I am able to get done things off my list from Thursday, but…..
I keep almost crying… like, for why?!?

So I am breaking down the tasks I need to do into single steps and just trying to do one thing at a time. I can tell I will lose it if I get multiple requests at the same time.

Woohoo, flight home tonight is already delayed 20 minutes. Last night, the same flight was 1.5 hours late, which will result in us getting home after midnight.
Well, my decision to isolate and not socialize with family was the right one. (I did visit with MIL without hugs although we are all vaccinated) Anyway, SIL and her 1 & 8 year old sons, and almost surely her husband all have Covid. Kids are spiking high fevers, she is sick. MIL is a wreck with worry. I haven't talked to SIL myself because I can't be civil right now. Her busiest week of the year, and guess what, can't go to work now. I have steam coming out of my ears. Just talked to DH and he is calling his mother to make reassuring sounds that kids recover and SIL is healthy, etc. and grrrr. I know her husband won't ever agree to get tested, or treated, but she did say she was going to the doctor. MIL did go to a gathering with her Christmas evening, but she at least was masked. She is feeling fine and vaccinated.

Mr. started feeling sick last night.(Sore throat, nasal congestion, fever.) Didn't even want to eat much. Fell asleep early. Gary took him to the doctor this afternoon, where they did a COVID test. Hopefully it will be negative.
Digits crossed for a negative result!
Hope Dana gets home at a decent hour.
