In stupid anti-vaxers be stupid news, just got off the phone with SIL in NY. One of her dearest friends and the one who argues politics with DH the most is on a vent and it doesn't look good. She has said she will get vaccinated when she gets released, of course. Anyway, she is otherwise a lovely person and an old friend and we are all concerned. So, SIL says to me that so many of her friends have been infected that she thinks she must have "natural" immunity. She has to test weekly for MTA since she isn't vaccinated. I wished her a Merry Christmas, told her I loved her, and to get the damned vaccine. I'd like to see her again some time! The last couple times she visited her Mom I didn't go see her. Sigh.

It's been fun sending off bits and bobs to various Buffistae this year. If I haven't sent you anything please don't interpret it as a lack of love on my part. I love you all individually and as a group.
I opened the ornament last night and I love it. The crossroads sign from the 4077th in MASH. You always remember my enduring love of that show, and it's also one of the things that Kristin and I share, we are both huge fans of MASH. It is now hanging on our tree and will go up each year and we can think of you and yours.
Awesome. Love MASH. It has aged amazingly well.
So today I have pretty much done nothing but read. I'm okay with this. Still in my jammies.
Timelies all!
Mr. S woke up at 3:30 this morning. Yesterday he woke up around 4. Both days he went back to bed for a bit, but was up and bouncing around before 7. Bleah...
Merry Christmas!!!

I'm so glad! It just clearly belonged with you and Pix.

This is exactly what I need. It is so much worse since a) the masks and b) middle age. So even though I am VERY nearsighted, between the fogging, and inability to read the phone or computer with my glasses, they are often off. I have seriously thought about somehow rigging a tile to my glasses, because that fixed my key problem. I did end up ordering a pair, so I will have a backup!
Merry Christmas to all!
I had a good Christmas over all. Dinner turned out well.
Back when I was struggling with being so hot at work, someone recommended a neck fan and Mom got me one for Christmas. I was actually doing ok temperature wise and M was using it today.
Dad and I went for a walk today, walked longer than I have in awhile and it felt good physically but kind of wore me out and my eye is bothering me for some reason.
My condolences to you dcp.
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
Our big family gathering was Thursday night, so last night Mom and my closest cousin and I had veggie pizzas at Mom's place. I'm headed over again in a few to have Christmas ham and exchange gifts. (Well, my gift already arrived so I'm handing over a card and putting a bow on the refrigerator...)
I had a mostly-quiet day with scones in the morning with my sister, and then in the evening we drove to SJ to visit my brother's family (after we all tested), and we ate awesome hot pot, and sang some karaoke, and played with my nephew, and ate my excellent maple-walnut pie.
Tomorrow I will do laundry and vacuum. If it's not too wet, I will take the dog for a run in the woods.
Merry Christmas all!
