Some sort of baking mix, maybe with a few kitchen items? An apron or, I don't know, a bundt pan or something like that? (I would also be tempted to get her books anyway -- how can you have too many books??)
We are at my parents' house in Massachusetts, where my Southern children were overjoyed to find a small patch of ice in a park and spent a good 20 minutes playing with it and exclaiming over it, picking up pieces of ice to show us and then dropping them to watch them smash on the ground. I really hope we get some actual snow while we're here; that would be about the best Christmas gift I could imagine for them.
You should find a small package from me waiting there.
That is very sweet! It must have arrived just after I left. I've been out here since the 13th. I'm ready to head home.
Pix inspired me to record the sunrise time in my calendar for the next few months. Every day at sunrise I am always well up and awake. No excuse not to drink my coffee at the beach which is less than 2 miles from my house. I used to do this every day, but somehow got out of the habit.
What do I get for a 13-YO girl with undiagnosed ADHD, whose parents really don't want her to have any more books? She's wildly into dragons and adventure fantasy novels, and she plays hockey, and she got into baking during the pandemic.
It might be pitched a bit too young for her, but a Foodstirs baking kit subscription might be fun. (And the company was co-founded by SMG!)
I would totally want a book as that kid but uh….I guess cute baking things? Like if she makes cupcakes or cakes, cute sprinkles or cupcake wrappers?

I also neglected to mention that it was wonderful to see you last night!
Does the book ban include cook books because there are cooking and baking books that are based on fantasy/gaming things that might be fun for her.
Ooh good idea askye! Cookie jar also a good idea.
I am cracking up after reading ask a manager’s Christmas work stories today. Love.
