Brendon was able to get a rapid test yesterday at his PCP's office. I have seen a huge spike in testing at the practices I work with. This is a good thing.
At this point, it looks like a quiet Christmas at home with DH. I thought about visiting with my MIL or my sister, but both of them should be isolated because of health issues so I am going to hold on that for now.
Tested this morning. I saw a testing van parking and ran over to it - two guys beat me so I was third in line.
By the time they started testing half an hour later there were thirty people in line.
Crazy.
I've seen how the city testing sites are swamped. Miami apparently is too.
Well, I was LDB'd. sigh
However, I offer you a claymation carol (definitely not LDB). It does show that fezes CAN be cool.
I have not been tested but do have a couple of rapid tests I stocked up on before I set out on this crazy trip. Not as good as a PCR but better than nothing.
Also weird: dog woke me up in the night so I got up to let him out and nearly fell over my ankle hurt so bad. Why? No idea! I didn’t walk a ton or twist it or sit in a weird position or anything, but I am suddenly limping like a Mf today and in tons of pain! Rude!!!
My grandparents had that Claymation Christmas special on tape. I've seen it so many times. There's some little bit where a camel (or a person? maybe a goose) is wandering around singing "Here we come a waffling..."
I got tested this morning and came back negative. The line was about three times as long as when I tested in August. My university has decided to do a remote first week of classes in January, which should give holiday infections time to be caught and quarantined. I have about two more hours of work, and then I'm done until 1/4. I've spent most of the past year of work sitting on my butt, typing and clicking things with a mouse, but I still feel exhausted.
DH got a spam email this morning letting him know a co-worker or some such had tested positive and the handy spreadsheet attached would give him an exposed people list or some such. He read it aloud to me at the time, but the details don't seem that memorable. Still don't know who might have been on that list since I am his co-worker at this location.
