Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks, Steph!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Happy solstice, everyone!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Congratulations to the happy couple, Cindy!

Anyone have a vegan cookie recipe they'd recommend? The more straighforward the better.

A friend of mine makes cake mix peanut butter cookies [link] and nothing is easier. If you picked a vegan cake mix (many/most are) and swapped out the eggs you'd be all set.

I feel like they work because the peanutbutter does all the heavy-lifting. I've made them chocolate too.

Wow, solstice. I wish I could build a huge bonfire. I mean, I always kind of wish that unless it's the middle of summer, but... happy solstice back to you!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Tomorrow will have two seconds more of daylight than today has.

Return the light to me in tiny increments!!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Tomorrow will have two seconds more of daylight than today has.

Thank god. I will take those 2 seconds and enjoy them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hoo-fucking-ray for more light! Even two seconds. Which is to say, happy solstice.

Our wings are not tired.

Seriously, I am ready for those seconds coming back.
