Geez, askye, I'm so sorry this is being such a bear to navigate.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Timelies all!
I'm sorry this is being so difficult for you, askye.
since I had been cleared to work if my store was accommodating my restrictions any absences wouldn't be excused.
Okay, I know that this is none of my business, but I can't help but jump in here. Was the store notified that you required an accomodation? Were you made aware of the process to request an accomodation? Did the store engage in an interactive process with you to determine what accomodation was needed? Is there any documentation of their interaction with you regarding your accident/need for accomodation? Was anyone (you or the store) provided medical documentation of the condition for which an accomodation was required and/or recommendations?
Yeah it sucks. Luckily the doctor I saw today (as a new patient) was really nice. He gave me a different prescription for nausea. I came home ad took Tylenol.
The new doctor said other than the concussion thing I looked like a perfectly normal health 48 year old woman,
Tomorrow morning it's back to the walk in place. If they give me any shit about restrictions I'm going to start calling Workers comp right then and there to get the case worker and ask how am I supposed to work around restrictions that say "figure it out" because what I've figured out is that I can only work a max of 4 hours and I need an hour (at least) break in the middle. And wear sunglasses inside and not be on the sales floor to avoid dealing with screens as much as possible.
Vortex the "accommodations" I was told I needed were limited screen time and restricted duties.
And when I asked what the restrictions were - and then got the NP back to clarify- I was told, very explicitly-that I needed to figure out what my limits were. Like if being on a screen for 2 hours made things worse than 2 hours was my limit. But *I* had to figure that out.
The store HAS Tried to accommodate me but it's really fucking hard when "work until you start feeling bad and then don't do it again" is how to figure out what I need.
The lawyer I talked to , said "excuse my language" and said "that's bullshit" and I was thinking "well I was going to say it's fucked up "
BTW, our mandatory back-in-the-office 1/3/22 has become voluntary, to be reassessed 2/1 as maybe becoming mandatory 3/1
Combination of omicron worries and people intending to get vaxxed/boosted but unable to get timely appointments, sounds like.
oy vey. so much crappage going on. fucking covid and omicron and the glayvin.
There's been a brewhaha in the fiber arts community, much needed, about recognizing POC creators and designers. Lots of ugliness comes out, of course. My brother posted some info on ppl who were guests on a knitting podcast that is run by rightwing wingnuts and he called the hosts white supremacists (one of them goes by deplorable knitter or something and the podcasts is politically incorrect knitting). Well one or more people called in some big big uglies to attack him and report him to IG. The post was removed, for what, I have no idea, as it was literally only a list of people who had indeed been guests on the podcasts. Then the attacks came and one particularly awful person posted a pic of my brother, named him, and accused him of wishing the man was raped, which of course never happened. My brother has now blocked over 3000 IG accounts in less than a day.
Wow!
Holy crap.
Knitters. Not all nice grandmas.
