That’s the plan!

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Def avoid passing out at work!
Glad Brendon is ok, but yikes!
Epic I am in La Jolla! Working, but enjoying sunshine. Sadly though this place we are staying is gorgeous overall, we discovered this morning (after checking in yesterday) that the internet is bad. Like, 100kbps bad. The lady said “oh I upgraded the internet for you!” to my friend when we checked in (because she’d asked about us doing like video calls and stuff) and this is laughable. We also searched the whole house high and low for the router/wifi (thinking maybe resetting it would kick it in gear) and eventually the lady replied it’s in the attic (!?). Sadly turning power off and back on did nothing.
Oh, argh, meara
I bought coffee with my lunch at 1 pm and didn’t drink it until 6:30 because no time for beverages what with the mask and the constant stream of customers but I am still going to bed now and expect to be asleep before too long
And it was eaten much more quickly than the usual holiday turkey would have been (by my family).
My bro wasn't feeling well on Thanksgiving (did a test, no COVID), so we didn't go the turkey until Friday. Since we weren't doing traditional anyway, he decided to smoke the turkey. It was goooood.
-t, good gym-ing! And good luck tomorrow.
Glad he's OK, Laura, but I'm sorry for the accident.
I took a way too long nap early evening, and now I'm wide awake. I love a nap, but I haven't taken one lately. I guess I'm out of practice with the waking up part.
We ordered a full-sized tree, and it arrived yesterday. I fluff a branch or two every time I walk by. It's a task I find SO boring and vaguely annoying (unreasonably, but a fact, nonetheless) that I can't make myself just stand there and do it all at once. The fluffiness is sort of meeting in the middle now. Maybe by Saturday, I'll start decorating it.

I think I'm going to embrace the practice of yelling "BAT!" and just walking away.
I am officially a New Yorker again and, as of Wednesday, hold a lease to a rent stabilized apartment in Washington Heights. They're going to take me out of this place in a bag.
Packing, otoh, is hell. I'm way way behind. More sorting will happen at unpack than I'd have liked. The upside is I've discoverd that maple syrup is AWESOME in tea.
Congrats, Trudy!
I feel like fluffing up a tree a little at a time is the rational approach, JenP
Having an XL coffee while I do a little work before heading back for a full day of cashiering. Whee! Not too achy and sore after yesterday, which is nice.
I had a very pre-Covid evening yesterday - my company held an actual in-person holiday party at a rooftop bar, and then a smaller group of us went out afterwards for KARAOKE!!!!
I LOVE VACCINE MANDATES.
I think I'm going to embrace the practice of yelling "BAT!" and just walking away.
Excellent plan! I just started watching this. So Much Fun! Also, welcome back to the city! Woot!
Fluffing the tree in little bits makes the most sense to do it well. We endorse this plan.
Yay for safe by vaccine mandated partying!! Woot!
Still wading through the onerous medical stuff here, but surviving.
