I had sarameg over for Thanksgiving and we didn't eat until 2:30, and everything was good. My misstep was not getting heavy cream. light cream does not whip, even if you add in butter as the interwebs instructed me.
Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday and I am Thankful for all of you.
We went to nephew's house and visited with them and ate snacky food (including shrimp cocktail, so it was a partial Shrimpsgiving), and then nephew loaded us up with dinner to go (smoked turkey, mashed taters, GF stuffing, and GF green bean casserole), so we don't need to cook anything here after Tim gets back from visiting his dad. He took a piece of pumpkin pie for his dad.
Nephew's neighbor across the street has one of those 12-foot skeletons from Home Depot, and is getting their money's worth, because it's outside the garage wearing a t-shirt that says HAPPY THANKSGIVING and it's holding an inflatable turkey. I need to go back and see what they do for Christmas.
Timelies all!
Back from dinner at Gary's mom's place. Dinner itself went fine, but Mr. S has been extra energetic since then.
I already booked the roller skating rink for Dec 23rd.
Dinner went well. I was especially happy with how the Cornish hens came out—crispy skin and juicy meat. I sent home loads of leftovers with my guests, but I still have so much food. But I’m having a couple of people over on Sunday, so I’m hoping to turn leftovers into something tasty for that dinner.
I love seasonal skeletons!
Watching the terrible football but thinking about bailing to get home while still awake. Have leftovers for to, including pie and the last of the historic cranberry sauce that none of us can remember how long ago we made it but we’ve been defrosting and refreshing it for probably 315 years. It’s pretty concentrated. We’ll have to make more next year, mom assured me she has cranberries in the freezer ready to go.
Somehow we got behind ar work so I stayed late with everyone else because I didn't feel that bad I thought. Even though earlier I wanted to leave because I was getting dizzy.
Almost home I got pulled over for speeding & driving erratically. I think I was going 5 mph over the limit but I guess thats still speeding. And the erratic part....I drifted into the side a bit. I got a warning but thr flashing lights did a number on me...I burst into tears and the officer was nice and all but . Then I started gagging and threw up as soon as I got home and I have an insanely bad headache. I really don't want to go to work tomorrow and I feel like I can't call out because it's Black Friday and they have been cracking down on absences and the doctor at the ER wrote I was good to go back to work on Monday and I stayed out until Wed.
I shouldn't have been driving. I don't want to ask M to drive me back and froth from work but I know I shouldn't be driving after working.
I haven't heard anything from workers comp so I need to try and call them tomorrow. I really want to see my Dr or another because I think I should be getting better than I am.

I'm extremely, extremely serious about this: those are VERY serious symptoms after a concussion, and you need to go to the ER. Please have M drive you there NOW. Please.
The headache isn't bad now and I'm not nauseous now. And once I had the lights off u felt better but I'm getting dressed right now to tell h
om
Oh, askye, those are dangerous symptoms, please do not ignore them!
