I would be there right now.

I have stored homemade spaghetti sauce in the freezer but somehow never occurred to me I could do that with jarred sauce. Huh.

I am hanging out in a tiny airport for hours and hours before a 5 hour flight. All my relatives had 4pm flights and so we got here at 2pm….my flight is not until 7pm and I need to check a bag but since there’s only one flight by this airline, the desk isn’t open for two more hours! So I am chilling outside security and trying to not spend all my money on kindle books.

Shir glad to hear you’re ok even if that sounds like an awful roommate—I hope the new one is moving in at the beginning of December not the end!

Timelies all!

Mr. S woke up at 5:30 this morning, after waking up at 5 yesterday morning. It’s not just that he’s awake, but that he’s active and noisy. Sleep is overrated, right?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You can freeze so much. A cookie sheet is super helpful with either parchment paper or something to stop stickage. I also use silicone molds that I bought to make small creme brûlées for sauces like pesto. Then you can tumble the frozen chunks in a Ziplock bag and use them as needed. If only I remembered to use them more.

I know of an elderly male patient whose inappropriateness went beyond speech (to his own actions um upon himself, in the presence of his caregivers). It's a terrible condition that robs people of their dignity.

It's really common in hospice as well. One of the last ways to self comfort.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Normally I get the mold garden before I finish a given jar of pasta sauce, but this time around everything smelled normal and the one small translucent blob was the only thing that looked suspicious. It's the first time I recall rinsing out to get a clean jar rather than throwing the whole thing away in horror!

Thrive to spite them

Today was kind of stressful at work but it kind of worked out in the end.

Customers are so, so needy. and just.. there are people who think the price the clothing tag is the sale price. Or should be.

And I bought new jeans. Just one pair IN REGULAR SIZES! I mean it was an 18 so the top of the regular sizes but NON PLUS SIZE JEANS! WOOT!

I'm down , probably 25 lbs !!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Worrying about Mac has been eating my brain at night. I’m putting on one of my sleep podcasts and hope for quick sleep tonight.

Been reading all here and thinking of you all, just not posting much.

Our wings are not tired.

It's happy birthday day for Sumi!! Last year was certainly a rough one so my fervent wish is that this year makes up for it by exceeding all expectations.

I'm sorry, msbelle. Kid induced insomnia is a world of no fun.

Well done, askye. Sorry that retail is so tough. I think at this point my tolerance of rude/stupid people would not work out in that environment.

Way to go, askye! And glad the stressful worked out OK in the end.

msbelle, I'm sorry. I hope the sleep podcast helped.

Super gray out there today. Wish I had a (working) fireplace and a cozy chair to sit in and read all day or something.
