move out and draw fire

I start my new job today, and the onboarding is online and it's magical and corporate onboarding should always be online.

What is even happening?

Good luck, Volans,

Is anyone planning to reach out to Gudanov to make sure he's well?

Hi tommyrot, sorry about the job woes.

It was great to see everyone on yesterday's Zoom call!

I have completed my gift shopping, and only have wrapping paper and a few cards left to buy.

What is even happening?

Yes, I just thought 8 days was a long time in Covidia time, msbelle.

(By the same token, I don't want to bug him, or make him feel like he has to be here.)

Matt, I am impressed! I still have two gifts to buy, but I have to say, this is the most prepared I've been ever, because I have to wrap and mail everything or at least get it mailed to me (or them) in time. Normally, I'm shopping on Christmas Eve day. Heh, one year, I went shopping with my sister's credit card last minute for her, because she had just had knee surgery and wanted more things for her daughter. THAT was fun - spending someone else's money on a spree!

The Zoom call was great. I need to get my act together and get some things done today. Guess I'll start with lunch.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just had to race against time to get Matilda signed up for Jewelry class in the new year. Only doing Mondays but we're locked in through January and February, and doing it with her friend Iris (one of the two friends she's had in her bubble since March).

Always tricky when you have to sign up online and courses are getting filled up as soon as they unlock it. But we did it.

The zoom call was fun! Especially to see some of you I’m less familiar with offline or elsewhere, or just haven’t seen in years!

I have purchased exactly zero Christmas presents. I have started making cookies, but other than that, no clue.

I've pinged him...I have no problem with asking for sign-of-life signals on a weekly basis these days.

What is even happening?

Thank you, Volans.
