Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.

I find cruises are especially nice when you are going with a group of friends since there's lot of ways you can get together, but also do things that suit each individual.
The bestest part of cruising with ND for me is the shared appreciation and amusement derived from bad theater. Good times. With cruise lines mandating vaccination, I am ready to do it again, even if I am living on a boat!
Now I want to go to an ecstatic dance party, hike the Camino de Santiago, and go on a cruise.
Do the things, Laura!
At my age, I am still adding to my bucket list more than crossing off, but that's okay.
I saw an article a while ago about how people are running boat tours to empty cruise ships that are anchored offshore. I don't think they went on the ships, just kind of motored around and then back to shore. Years ago, a cruise company would offer three-day "trip to nowhere" cruises out of New York. If I remember correctly, on the SS Maxim Gorky.
I've never been on a cruise myself, but I have a friend who went on several and enjoyed them. The last one I remember, she went with her mother and the cruise included cooking classes with high-level chefs. And they went through the Panama Canal.
We have a number of cruise to nowhere options in S Florida. They are mostly for the gamblers. They go out beyond the legal line then open up the machines and tables. I went on a couple with friends, but since gambling isn't my thing it was kind of ucky.
As many people as possible celebrating Vortex = right

Same!
In fact, going through the Panama Canal is one of them. I will be visiting a friend in Panama next year. Just saying.
Beach trip starts tomorrow. Very happy.

Yes, I'd totally be on board for a barge birthday party with Vortex.
Oh! Panama Canal. I haven't been, but DH was there on business and highly recommends the seafood options. He loved it there.

Princess Cruises specifically is where musical theatre goes to die. Watching the death spasms brings me joy. It's real entertainment.
