Oh, I could do that. I've received a number of texts and they don't bug me the way phone calls do. Although I am polite and supportive to the phone people too. I am cautiously optimistic that the huge GOTV efforts are paying off.

And appreciation! DH works non-stop on home and business projects. I try and let him know how much he is appreciated and that I know how hard he works. He thinks I work harder than him and makes me feel appreciated, but he works more than me by a long shot! But the long rambling point here is we recognize and appreciate each other and would NEVER pressure each other or get angry with each other over chores.

I continue to be excited that my fancy thermostat actually works! And the app part is kind of amazing. I had the full auto settings in play for the first time today, and it was all too hot, so I just used my phone to adjust it for tomorrow!

What kind is it, Jesse. I know Brendon got a new one but it isn't installed yet. He was saying something about motion detection and it adjusting when we weren't moving around or some such.

This is LUX, and I got it because it was no more than $20 (I forget exactly) thanks to an offer from my power company. It wanted to do an automatic thing when I'm a certain distance away, but I declined the offer to have one more company tracking my location!

We put in a programmable thermostat 10 years ago, and at the time, it felt totally cutting edge, because we could program it to turn the heat down before bedtime and down while we were at work, and then turn it back up 20 minutes before we got home. Magic! But we can't control it with an app (it predates the thermostats that work with apps), and I kind of want that. Except -- since I work from home, the thermostat stays the same all day until bedtime, so there's no point in swapping it out.

It runs with an app, but I can't really let it be too warm in here when I'm not home because of the dog.
