A/C stopped working this morning and the local HVAC company came out and took care of it in like two hours which was pretty great. After taking care of that (i.e. making a phone call and standing around while the tech did the work), I replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils on my son's car, cut the wood for the cabinet I'm making, two two loads of laundry, one load of dishes, make dinner, and ran out to the pharmacy. Still need to pay some bills and schedule up my wife's weekly blog posts.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sorry about the house issues, Tangent. I hope things are resolved with as little trouble as possible.
Still hoping for the best possible with your son, Cindy.
Thanks everyone.
He's still in the hospital. Trying again to see if he can tolerate clear liquids. The path to getting home is clearing the infection (yesterday's labs were good) -> tolerating clear liquids -> tolerating formula (like Ensure, Boost, etc).
Surgery will likely come in 6 - 8 weeks. I hope his doc is back today (he's been on vacation, which I know was to be two weeks, but I didn't know the start date).
The hospital he's in is fantastic, but it's still a hospital.
Continuing to send the ~ma. Good labs is definitely a plus.
It is a cold and rainy morning. I am working but DH is doing the proper thing and is still in bed. I think this means he has to take me out to dinner tonight.
Cindy, I'm sorry. Probably dumb question -- is there anything your son can do online to keep up with at least some classes? Maybe independent research?
Jeeesus Christ, this prescription I've been trying to get for a week was apparently sent to a completely different pharmacy than the one I use for everything else? I don't know why they insist on using this pharmacy for this one drug, or why it didn't occur to anyone to TELL ME they were sending it there.
And this potential tech writing job is turning into more of a business analyst job, and I am too tired to work through all of these nuances and shit.
Oy. But you can have prescription now, I hope?
Oh, hey, I'm a Business Analyst. That job has probably very little in common with mine, though. It's one of those titles that means nothing, afaict
Timelies all!
Continued ~ma, Cindy.
It's wrong of me to think of any job interview that doesn't end with an on-the-spot job offer to be a failure, right?
I mean, I know how things work in the real world, where there's HR and boss managers have to meet you first and stuff, but really, that's what my heart wants.
