Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Our wings are not tired.

I know, Jessica. Right there with you. The reason for my biggest concern being voter suppression efforts. They can only win by cheating, like they did in 2016.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The reason for my biggest concern being voter suppression efforts.

It terrifies me, especially given how the courts are behaving.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

In good court news, Epstein was just denied bail.

That is an excellent update, Tom. I just hope each and every person complicit in this man's abuse is made public.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

You mean 2016, when we took back the House? 2016, when we kept getting news of Democratic victories for days after Election Night?

Look, I get it. Things are bad, and going to get worse, and it would have been great to get Ted Cruz out of the Senate. But if you only focus on that, you can psych yourself out of recognizing the victories we have won.

And yeah, the attacks on AOC and the others are disgusting. (I confess, I'm carefully curating my news consumption these days.) But they wouldn't be expending the effort if they didn't think there was a threat there.

Coding and Sleeping

I believed this in 2016, and yet here we are.

I thought Trump was sunk after, you know, bragging about sexual assault, but... yeah. It's hard for me to think of a reason whey Trump wouldn't be reelected. Being an incumbent, his odds should be better and the dynamics haven't changed much. Unless there's a economic downturn or something, I think it's going to be very hard. Dems are going to need a great candidate who can really connect with people and it's still going to be hard.
