Our wings are not tired.

We don't have stairs in Florida, but I do here in Otter Lake. I tell myself it is good exercise the dozen times a day I go up and down the stairs. The dog still thinks I am insane and will not consider going up the stairs under any circumstances.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

On hold with unemployment. Their automated system has been telling me since Friday that they're too busy to pick up the phone, so I had to play games with the automated menu to get put on hold to maybe talk to a person. So this is fun.

Next, I get to call the neuro and find out why they haven't responded to the prescription request from Monday. One of the reasons I left my previous neuro, of course, was that she was so unresponsive.

Edit: And Brussels Airlines is completely blowing us off on our claim for the missing luggage time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, none of that sounds good, Dana. Very poor batting average, universe.

Okay! I have dealt with all three of those things. Unemployment handled, prescription was sent in this morning, and I got snippy with the airline on Twitter, which is the only thing that's been productive so far.

Get it Dana! Yeah!!

I tried to make coffee and forgot I needed to dilute the iced coffee concentrate and couldn't figure out why it was so bitter and gross tasting. Eventually I realized and just poured the whole thing out. Bleh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Have any of the parent here read/tried 1,2,3 Magic? ltc's pediatrician recommended it because her bad behavior at home is getting worse.

sj, ltc is three, right? You may appreciate the SECOND letter in this column, and feel comforted by this piece of the answer:

For the life of me, I can't understand why "the terrible twos" is a widely recognized phenomenon, but you don't hear much about three outside of child development books, mommy blogs, and chats with parents. Especially considering that 3 is SO MUCH WORSE than 2. Three is the Donald Trump to 2's George W. Bush; both of them are hell, but one of them is certainly cuddlier.

There's nothing that can be done to totally change Alice's behavior, because she is 3, and 3-year olds are absolutely horrible a good percentage of the time.

Jesse, she'll be 4 in a month. My favorite is Colbert's saying that anyone who says terrible 2s has never met a 3 year old. 1,2,3 Magic seems to be more about retraining the parents rather than the kid which is probably what's needed.
