I'll be fine. I'll be your bounty, Jubal Early. And I'll just fade away.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I treated myself to tacos and tequila for lunch, then bought a new book and loafed around in a cafe.

Soon I will get Thai takeout and that's a pretty frickin' good day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, Hec! I'm glad it was a good one!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy Zmayhem day! You guys are fab in every way.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Thanks for all the good wishes!

In addition to Hec's commitment to the Treat Yourself! ethos, I also stopped at this place on the way home to get some fancy desserts. It's so pricey that it's a once or twice a year indulgence at most, but everything is not only unbelievably pretty but so, so perfectly crafted and delicious (and if we're going to splurge, might as well be at a local, woman-owned business).

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, happy birthday, Hec!

Oh, happy birthday, Hec!

Thanks, Shir!

Traditionally June 29th is Eat Birthday Cake For Breakfast Day (for me anyway).

Since we had no cake I had to make do with the Key Lime Tart and some of the other fancy desserts JZ brought home. Delicious gluttony!

Matilda spent the night at her friend's house and when I have the back door open to my Nerd Hole I can hear them laughing over there.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I'm having a hard time doing anything today. Brain full and spinny and also sinuses hurting. I feel like bees buzzing just under my skin. I slept in and only had half-caf coffee and I took my meds and ate some food. I half watched the end of GER/SWE world cup and that seemed to be easing whatever, but now I am in internet refresh refresh refresh cycle while a list of a million things I should/could be doing runs through head.

The idea of watching tv/movie I would need to follow storyline on seems too much.

No hairpats needs, just brain dumping.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We took Mr. S to a sensory-friendly showing of Toy Story 4 today. Poor Gary had to spend a fair amount of the film chasing him around. I think we may wait a while before we try that again.

Sheryl, I am so sorry about all the issues you have been having. Have you been able to get an appt at a child psychologist? Has your pediatrician made any suggestions/referrals?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, I've got the sinuses thing too. Storms blowing in, maybe?
