We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, happy birthday, Hec!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, happy birthday, Hec!

Thanks, Shir!

Traditionally June 29th is Eat Birthday Cake For Breakfast Day (for me anyway).

Since we had no cake I had to make do with the Key Lime Tart and some of the other fancy desserts JZ brought home. Delicious gluttony!

Matilda spent the night at her friend's house and when I have the back door open to my Nerd Hole I can hear them laughing over there.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I'm having a hard time doing anything today. Brain full and spinny and also sinuses hurting. I feel like bees buzzing just under my skin. I slept in and only had half-caf coffee and I took my meds and ate some food. I half watched the end of GER/SWE world cup and that seemed to be easing whatever, but now I am in internet refresh refresh refresh cycle while a list of a million things I should/could be doing runs through head.

The idea of watching tv/movie I would need to follow storyline on seems too much.

No hairpats needs, just brain dumping.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We took Mr. S to a sensory-friendly showing of Toy Story 4 today. Poor Gary had to spend a fair amount of the film chasing him around. I think we may wait a while before we try that again.

Sheryl, I am so sorry about all the issues you have been having. Have you been able to get an appt at a child psychologist? Has your pediatrician made any suggestions/referrals?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, I've got the sinuses thing too. Storms blowing in, maybe?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We had storms early this morning and more now, but in between I went on an interesting walking tour and had lunch with mostly church folks, which was lovely. Came home, did a tiny amount of yard work and slightly more housework, and am now watching Law & Order, as one does.

And two things: Xiomara Villaneuva de la Vega is a recurring cop this season, and in this episode, they gave a Sierra Leonean guy (played by Lance Reddick!) a Rwandan name. Why?? Seriously, Africa is not one country.

msbelle, I've been playing phone tag with a child psychologist recommended by Mr. S's pediatrician. She gave me her e-mail on the last mission, so I'll send her an e-mail tomorrow.
