Congrats, Laura!
Splenectomy is a fun word to say. Probably less fun to experience.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

That's great, Laura! I'm glad your hard work is paying off.
That's great Laura! What was it you're doing that's working?
Congratulations to Laura!
In me me news, I contributed something to benefit shorter women. My employer is putting on a conference later this summer and people were talking about how to set up the stage for the panelists at the big opening session. At least one of the panelists will be a shorter woman, one I know usually wears skirts/dresses ... the people doing the planning are (of course) men. They suggested having the panelists sit on high stools ... I pointed out (privately to my boss) that this would be a problem for shorter women and suggested chairs. The chairs might have their own problems, but at least no one's going to (1) having an awkward time getting up on a stool and (2) have the audience looking up her skirt.
Excellent news, and good work, Laura!
Well done, Todd.
Toddson, hero to skirt-wearing women everywhere. That's totally one of those things that way too many men never think about. Let alone how anyone with certain kinds of physical disabilities will handle a high backless stool.
I have walked out of places that only had high stools for seating. But I was probably not their preferred clientele anyway.
Way to go, Toddson!
My lien release letter from Toyota is finally on its way! Getting to someone who could help me took FOREVER going through all the automated trees that couldn't find me because I don't have an active account but once I got to an actual person she was able to find my information immediately. Hooray! In approximately two weeks I can finally donate my poor old bedraggled 2001 Corolla. It's the only care I've ever bought from a dealer with financing and everything, and it's been through some stuff with me, so I will miss it, but getting it running well would not be anything like cost effective. Capital Radio can figure it out.
In other news, damn, renal support cat food is expensive.
-t, don't invest too heavily in renal support cat food until you're sure your cat will eat it. None of mine ever would. I ended up just focusing on getting something in them that they'd eat and hoping for the best.
