Thrive to spite them

I think mom is going to the memorial service. It's in Texas where my cousin lived and my uncle has enough frequent flyer points to pay her ticket.

I'm being very adult today. I called my dentist and made an appointment for a bridge/crown. The insurance won't pay for the crown. It was denied twice but between the insurance covering the bridge and a discount at the dentist I'll have to pay "only" $1200 or so. I'm going to use a combo of Care credit, credit card and parents to pay for it.

I also have to contact my doctor's office about a refill and also about financial assistance for the prescription and the appointment I have coming up.

I can't afford to stay at my job with why little they pay me. I'm not actively looking for another because Matthew and I are talking about moving in together this spring. If we do that I'll need to find a job there so I'm waiting.

I wish the job paid more we are severely understaffed and struggle to hire people..I'm fairly sure the low pay is part of it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She ate broccoli last night. Apparently if it's mixed with homemade Mac and cheese she's okay wit it.

Our wings are not tired.

The food thing can be a huge issue.

Yeah, we all go through food stages. That is one thing I refused to fight about. (well, really I didn't waste energy fighting with the kids about much of anything.) They get hungry and they eat.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I'll eat just about anything if you put it in homemade M&C too!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm so sorry, askye!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Way to adult, askye!

I left the house with a friend and her toddler and we went to the park! Yay, sunshine! Though it was a little colder than the other day. Wish I could stay outside in it for longer but the kiddo needed his nap. And my friend's place isn't positioned right to get much sun.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S isn't terribly picky about food right now(it seems to be anybody's guess whether he'll eat the vegetable du jour.) Dinner time has other perils, with him throwing things, like cups, utensils and food.

We seem to have skipped over the part of fall I like, where it's 70 and sunny. It was in the 50s today. Yuck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, if I do one thing this weekend (and I'm hoping to do very little this weekend!), I have got to install my new thermostat. I got it over the summer, and meant to install it before it was time for heat, alas. But my mother is gone all day, so it won't bother her if I end up turning off her power as well as mine, so SATURDAY IS THE DAY.

(Edit: Also, NUBMER)
