I don't like vampires. I'm gonna take a stand and say they're not good.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S isn't terribly picky about food right now(it seems to be anybody's guess whether he'll eat the vegetable du jour.) Dinner time has other perils, with him throwing things, like cups, utensils and food.

We seem to have skipped over the part of fall I like, where it's 70 and sunny. It was in the 50s today. Yuck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, if I do one thing this weekend (and I'm hoping to do very little this weekend!), I have got to install my new thermostat. I got it over the summer, and meant to install it before it was time for heat, alas. But my mother is gone all day, so it won't bother her if I end up turning off her power as well as mine, so SATURDAY IS THE DAY.

(Edit: Also, NUBMER)

I'm pulling the ac this weekend.

I went to change (up!) my retirement contribution & they changed how to do it (or I've forgotten something) so now I have to contact hr.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I am pretty thrilled to have gotten to the point with Jane where we have three kinds of meals that she will actually eat some of: pasta with tomato sauce; rice and yogurt (and some sort of actual food for the rest of us, like dal or curry or chili); and the vegetarian family special from a local chain, which includes mashed sweet potatoes and corn muffins. She will generally also eat cheese and fruit, and sometimes a PB&J. This is like twice as much as she'd eat a year or two ago!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I went through a phase with mac where he was only eating bananas, spaghetti-os, fast food burgers with ketchup ONLY, fries, or 2 dishes of Ethiopian food - Doro Wat and Miser Wat. And I could not make the Ethiopian Food.

He still basically eats no vegetables.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I made a lot of smoothies for Emmett in lieu of veggies and he grew up pretty frickin' hale.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

We're in that phase with Peanut where it's a tossup if anything appeals, or if she'll eat everything in sight, or if the mac & cheese from yesterday is now verboten. What's worse, though, is that she's totally forgotten her restaurant manners & nothing can bribe her to sit at table for more than 10 minutes. Since we're travelling, this is a big issue. It will pass, I know, but it's not easy right now.

Our wings are not tired.

My boys were raised exactly the same with food. Nursed forever, ate vegan until they were 2. Then they ate whatever I put forth, or not. Now as adults one eats absolutely anything except mushrooms. Loves to cook, and experiments with any variety of unknown ethnicity food. The other is super picky. Never uses any condiments, a hamburger means just hamburger, no bun or cheese or ketchup. No veggies except raw carrots. A good example is their ramen preparation. Bobby will create a masterpiece with peanut sauce and bits of veggies and meat. Brendon won't even put the spice pack in it. One also weighs 100 pounds more than the other son, which if they split would be ideal as the picky eater is scary skinny. Both are very healthy, so maybe they eat what they need.

I'm partly packed and hope to head south by noon today, before my feathers freeze.

Also, apparently I ramble the most before I am well caffeinated.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

oh my god when we're in a meeting and the devs are speaking French but the meeting hasn't started yet my coworker says HELLOOOOO really loud to get them to speak english and it's so embarrassing.
