R, age 7, to her dad: Thanks for bringing us water cups!
Her dad: You're welcome.
R: Oh, and thank you for the sperm that made me!

I tried target again today...and apparently was at the leading edge of today's credit processing issues. It went thru the second try, but as I was leaving, all the assistance needed lights were lighting up. I got out of there fast.
Bwah-haw-haw! Kids! I am snort laughing.
Ha! Well, I hope all the excellent sperm donors had great a Father's Day, and that the worthless ones had a miserable day.
I transported kids all weekend doing basketball stuff. 5 games in 2 days on the west coast of Florida. They won all their games. Normally weekend tournaments mean catching up on reading and recorded shows for me, but I was helpful coach's wife in honor of the holiday. He was appreciative, as were the kids.
Now it is Monday and I am moving slowly. Work should become a priority soon, but hasn't yet happened.
Does the dance of my kid is a camp! My house is so quiet!
Yay! I hope you are able to get some quality rest and recuperation.
I just read an article from the U news site that doesn't use pronouns at all for one of the students quoted/profiled, and it makes me wonder! Like, does that person not use pronouns at all? Or is that person transitioning but their (it's too hard not to use a person's name OR any pronouns!) family doesn't know it? I bet most people reading the article wouldn't even notice.
I am at a fancy resort in Oregon, courtesy of my husband's profession. Usually spouses are not invited to these model launches, but this one is about how easy it is to tow stuff with the new Chevy truck line, so they used us as examples. I got to drive a truck with a huge trailer though an obstacle course yesterday! Today, he is off at a presentation about the technical aspects of the trucks and then a long drive while I have the day to slounge. Since school ended Friday, the timing could not be better.
Ooh, nice one, Scrappy! How did the rest of the year go for you?
That is interesting, Jesse. I don't know if I would notice.
Sweet, Scrappy! Btw, I really enjoyed your hubby's article on his road trip with his brother. I read a lot of his auto stuff, but that one was really heartwarming.
I am a totally unproductive person today. Like just as lazy as all my snoozing animals. I think I might give up and read.
