I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

sj, most days I'm just powering through myself. I can;t imagine having to deal with truly inclement weather on top of that. We're in Ontario right now, and it's almost freezing, and I'm running out of ideas to entertain Alexandra.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The food thing can be a huge issue. One of my cousin's sons is now a very healthy, happy and successful man, but spent more than a year of his youth earring only plain yoghurt and plain noodles with butter on them. No vegetables or protein at all. It drove his mother and grandmother mad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

One of my friends would have sworn her 3-year-old only ate tangerines for six months, but somehow he kept growing! (Apparently there was a bite of cheese here and there?)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Juliana, been cold and rainy a lot lately, which definitely doesn't help matters and neither does my sitter quitting. My mother in law is here. So I took a shower and now I'm going to nap.

Cheese and fruit and pasta are the only things I can count on that ltc will always eat.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds pretty balanced.

That's as well as I eat 90% of the time.

Thrive to spite them

I think mom is going to the memorial service. It's in Texas where my cousin lived and my uncle has enough frequent flyer points to pay her ticket.

I'm being very adult today. I called my dentist and made an appointment for a bridge/crown. The insurance won't pay for the crown. It was denied twice but between the insurance covering the bridge and a discount at the dentist I'll have to pay "only" $1200 or so. I'm going to use a combo of Care credit, credit card and parents to pay for it.

I also have to contact my doctor's office about a refill and also about financial assistance for the prescription and the appointment I have coming up.

I can't afford to stay at my job with why little they pay me. I'm not actively looking for another because Matthew and I are talking about moving in together this spring. If we do that I'll need to find a job there so I'm waiting.

I wish the job paid more we are severely understaffed and struggle to hire people..I'm fairly sure the low pay is part of it.

She ate broccoli last night. Apparently if it's mixed with homemade Mac and cheese she's okay wit it.

Our wings are not tired.

The food thing can be a huge issue.

Yeah, we all go through food stages. That is one thing I refused to fight about. (well, really I didn't waste energy fighting with the kids about much of anything.) They get hungry and they eat.
