Turns out they were asking if we'd like to go see Grease.
I had the opposite confusion when everyone was SO! VERY! EXCITED! that my step-grandmother was going to Grease, and I was like, ... it's great, but... and I didn't figure it out until she said she'd be gone for 3 weeks.
Anyway, I hope JZ and Matilda are having a fantastic trip, shoo-bop-shoo-bada-wada-yippidy-bing-de-boom
Hamilton! I'm actually going on Saturday in Louisville. Discovered essentially by accident that we would be in Cincinnati during one of the weeks it is playing there.
I have Hamilton tickets for August!
Woot! I just saw it last weekend (finally). I had literally avoided the music for four years or so. I mean, I'd heard snippets, but really tried to stay unspoiled (e.g. turning off the Tonys when they performed that year). It was marvelous. And I've been listening to the soundtrack rather frequently.

We just spent several minutes looking at Jilli's picture while I told ltc that Auntie Jilli promised that there are no bad monsters in the house. It seemed to help, but now she wants to go see Auntie Jilli right now!
Awww!
Oh! One other tip when helping munchkins deal with bad monsters: a plant mister full of water with a few drops of lavender oil (or any other essential oil you like the smell of) and put a big fancy label on it that says
Monster-B-Gone.
Have ltc mist her room every night.
Good idea. Her and her daddy went on a monster hunt around the house and flushed some "bad monkeys" down the toilet, which seemed to help. She really wants a video of you if you ever have the time to record a couple seconds of something. I have no idea where the bad monkey idea came from but she is terrified of them.

I will see what I can do this week!
Oh, send me your snail mail address. I may be able to put something together for her.
Flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz?
I've waited too long to eat, so now I am hungry, but also cranky and I am on the couch and I have to make food for myself and WAHHHHHH. These are the times I really wish I lived with a helpful person.
I didn't got to Pride but I was quite Pride-adjacent at times, including taking several people to meet up at the march, and getting to drive s l o w l y down the street where the parade vehicles were gathering (and being decorated) because of the traffic. Best sight was a dog rescue society with all the adoptable dogs with rainbow ruffs around their collars.
I am seeing something on facebook about possible shots fired at Pride parade in DC. Unconfirmed. Anyone know?
EDIT to ADD - seeing it now reported as a false report that caused panic.
