Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm 12 years old, because I'm editing an article about a medication used to help people quit smoking marijuana, and it uses the word "bong". More than once. I am DYING. (I feel like maybe "pipe" would be more appropriate, but since the author used the term "bong", I am 100% leaving it in.)

What is even happening?

Baby Punctual, welcome to the world!

Congrats, DebetEsse! All the best to you.

Happy belated birthday, dcp, and to -t's brother, too.

I hope JZ and Matilda have a great time.

When I was eight or so, my parents just about gave me a panic attack by asking me if my brothers and I would like to go see Greece. That part was pretty exciting, though I thought they were being pretty casual the way they brought it up. Then M followed up with "Of course, we wouldn't be able to come with you..."

Turns out they were asking if we'd like to go see Grease.

billytea still tells the best stories, I see.

How could you not?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hooray, baby! And congratulations, parents!

Hooray, Greece!

Wonderful adventures ahead for everyone concerned!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Today is not going to plan. TCG took the day off, and I was supposed to be resting. However, ltc has nightmares several times last night, so none of us slept well, and she's been a horror show all day since.

And TCG just called me so that I could hear the epic tantrum ltc was pulling. Fun times.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

New baby! Congratulations!

sj, please tell ltc that her fairy gothmother is negotiating with the nightmare monsters on her behalf.

Thanks, Atropa. I'll let her know. I think she's upset from me being so sick lately.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I hope JZ and Matilda have a great time.

So far so good! Last seen they were picking cherries from off the front porch.

I gave Matilda three dictates: (a) try every food proffered with at least one bite; if you hate it, that's enough. If it's just different then take two bites; (b) help clean up because she's staying with family; (c) put your phone down and interact with the family.

She texted me this morning that she had already tried something new to eat and cleaned up their bedroom while JZ was sleeping. Then she insisted that I praise her, which I did.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's Friday. whee.
