To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

Thank Christ, we have the luggage.

Woo! Happy birthday!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Work is asking me to do altogether too much work today

The end

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Dana - congratulations on the luggage (not, luckily, The Luggage)l. I once knew someone who flew to Columbus, Ohio ... her luggage went to Rome (there's something wrong with that). And once, when I flew home from a work trip, there never was any announcement of where the luggage was - all of us on the flight waited and waited and every flight after ours had their luggage appear. I finally spotted my spectacularly ugly luggage at the far end of the area and scooped it up.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Guess who has pneumonia and a bruised rib from coughing so much? Guess who is completely sick of all of these health issues?

Our wings are not tired.

Oh sj! No wonder you have been so tired.

Coding and Sleeping

Sorry sj, that sounds miserable. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, sj! That sounds terrible.

OK, I know we all know this, but how the fuck is this "for boys"?? [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Quick healing, sj!

I made veg hash with fried eggs on top and it tasted really good. Since I have a good non-stick pan I only used a tablespoon of olive oil to cook the whole thing. (So I don't feel guilty because I didn't poach the eggs.)

NYT had a similar suggestion for cleaning out your crisper bin, and I'm trying to be less carby/more veggie.

I had broccoli, red onions, summer squash and zucchini chopped up small and used paprika and a bunch of other peppery things to bring up the flavor. Properly seasoned, of course. Keeping Samin in mind I did hit the veggies with a bit of lemon juice.

Anyway, vegetable and protein success!

I'm sorry, sj. I hope knowing that helps you recover?

Green tea ice cream for breakfast is a good thing. Recommend. Now I feel compelled to have a coffee milkshake for lunch.

Thanks, apparently I had pneumonia when I went to the ER last week where they failed to tell me and failed to give my steroids to treat it.
