You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Now you're in denial.

Our wings are not tired.

It is a problem, but the best solution is to send the blondies to me.

Good Monday! I think. Not enough coffee has happened for me to be sure.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I decided it wasn't a problem because I only had three, in that sense of "just," not the "right now" sense.

Sounds yum to me, Jesse!!

My plans today involve picking up a prescription, maybe getting a pedicure? Later dinner with some college friends who didn't want to go to reunion.

Yesterday I mowed the yard, dropped off a load of stuff at our storage unit (which hopefully we won't have for a long time), got and hung three new sets of mini-blinds, did about three hours of cleaning in the basement, washed sheets and made the bed, and paid bills. But I also did some sanding on the box I'm making for my daughter's sword.

Still have a good amount of sanding and a couple of seams to fill. I ran out of clamps and didn't secure the ends very well so I have a couple of small gaps at the ends. A little wood fill will make them disappear, but it still feels a bit sloppy. A trip to Harbor Freight might be in order before working the cabinet for my wife. This box is the first time I've used a biscuit joiner and, wow, it makes joins easier.

The two bits of 2x4 aren't part of the box, they are just there to give a little strength until the glue has had plenty of time to dry.

Oh hey, my faux-lego A7V tank is supposed to show up today. The A7V is a really interesting tank. It was the first German tank, and was used in WWI, though in pretty small numbers. It had a suspension, which the British tanks at the time lacked, and a gearbox that let it travel just as fast in reverse as it could forward. It had a cannon in the front and machine-guns everywhere, requiring a crew of eighteen. Yeah, eighteen. The whole thing looked like a miniature Jawa sandcrawler.

While in many ways more advanced than the British tanks at the time, they were mostly useless in WWI. Over rough ground they had a tendency to fall over and the Western Front of WWI was all about rough ground. Also they were made by the 10s which was far too few to have any impact.

Nice woodworking, Gud.

I worked on moving stuff into my new closet this weekend. It's a process! The closet guys did their thing, but still waiting for DH to finish the electric.

Nice woodworking, Gud.

Thanks, it's nice workworking for me. It's good practice before tackling something more substantial. I want to do a better job on my wife's cabinet than I did on the arcade machine. The arcade machine doesn't look bad, but the joints are pretty crude I ended up using screws on a number of them though they are hard to see.
