The two bits of 2x4 aren't part of the box, they are just there to give a little strength until the glue has had plenty of time to dry.

Oh hey, my faux-lego A7V tank is supposed to show up today. The A7V is a really interesting tank. It was the first German tank, and was used in WWI, though in pretty small numbers. It had a suspension, which the British tanks at the time lacked, and a gearbox that let it travel just as fast in reverse as it could forward. It had a cannon in the front and machine-guns everywhere, requiring a crew of eighteen. Yeah, eighteen. The whole thing looked like a miniature Jawa sandcrawler.

While in many ways more advanced than the British tanks at the time, they were mostly useless in WWI. Over rough ground they had a tendency to fall over and the Western Front of WWI was all about rough ground. Also they were made by the 10s which was far too few to have any impact.

Our wings are not tired.

Nice woodworking, Gud.

I worked on moving stuff into my new closet this weekend. It's a process! The closet guys did their thing, but still waiting for DH to finish the electric.

Nice woodworking, Gud.

Thanks, it's nice workworking for me. It's good practice before tackling something more substantial. I want to do a better job on my wife's cabinet than I did on the arcade machine. The arcade machine doesn't look bad, but the joints are pretty crude I ended up using screws on a number of them though they are hard to see.

After getting some exposure to other Dem presidential candidates, I'm still solidly on the Warren bandwagon. I feel like her foreign policy creds are lacking, but that's true for most candidates and Presidents for that part. However, I also feel like she's smart and level-headed enough to know what she doesn't know. However, I think defeating Trump is a big longshot.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm so hungry. I had an 11 am meeting that went to after 12, had to talk to several people after that about stuff that came up while I was in it and am supposed to be on a conference call at 1 - even if I get something delivered I can't go out to the public part of the building to pick it up. Argh.
