Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sorry! I was at the ER all day and then I came home and slept a lot. I'm okay. Very tired and a little out of it but all the test results were good.

Good! I'm glad you got sleeeep.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm glad you are ok, sj!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Good news, sj.

I am sadly often up for the day by 4am Eastern, and almost always by 5:30.

The number of early birds reacting/commenting on my 4am FB post was surprising. The only one that I wouldn't call freakishly early was posting from New Zealand.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Very good to hear you're ok, sj.

Looks like you get a do-over election.

Yesterday night was the first time I personally felt (I've known that for years, but this time, I felt it) just how broken the notion of democracy is in this country. The opposition and other politicians from the coalition couldn't imagine this country without Netanyahu. This is bad.

(However, the jokes about "well, you wanted a different ending to Game of Thrones, didn't you?" and "elections2019_final_with_changes_2.docx" are still funny).

Edited to add: just got the news that I got accepted to grad school (my current second priority. I'll know about the first in about a month's time). Bonus? IT'S WHERE NILLY TEACHES.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yay grad school, Shir!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Today I was up at 5:30, when I often wake up but usually go back to sleep. But this morning, my brain was immediately like "You're traveling today! Also, you haven't learned any of your music! This will be good! It will help with jet lag! You are unable to go back to sleep now!"

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

You guys know that before my parents and most of my friends, because I'm still waiting to hear from all of the places I applied to and a lot of people just need to hear the bottom line. Or else I will get flowded with endless questions and opinions.

Our wings are not tired.

Stay awake, Dana! You have stuff to do!

IT'S WHERE NILLY TEACHES

That is wonderful! It will increase the possibility of spending time together, which is hard to do when in grad school.

I have construction dudes coming this morning to install closet stuff in the walk in closets DH created. Probably should get showered and dressed before they get here.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Went through my music. Slightly convinced that I have a cold. Researched zinc and echinacea. Seems like echinacea would probably set off my allergies, and zinc can affect your sense of taste. I'm going to Italy. I need my taste buds.
