Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Today we're going on a family bike ride with a picnic at one end, so feeling very athletic and outdoorsy.

You sounds very athletic and outdoorsy!

I had a traumatic morning taking Buddy to the vet, but of course he's fine now. And I'm hoping the bite and scratches on me don't get infected!

But then I went and had brunch with an old friend and then a walk with a different friend and now I'm home!

Maybe housework tomorrow?? (I realize a person could do housework in the evening, IN THEORY.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

2 loads of laundry. I feel like cooking something, but not really - I feel like having something to eat that I cooked, yes that is more accurate.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

one of the pairs of paints I was planning on taking to Italy

Dana, your drawl is showing. I remember fondly a Spanish exchange student we kindly taught how to drawl--"I used hot water and mah paints drawed up." He mastered it nearly perfectly, eventually.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I had to read that twice to figure out what was wrong with it.

Coding and Sleeping

Been solid busy all day and not feeling well. Just threw up. I think my wife is kinda pissed because she's going to the grocery store which was the next thing I was going to do. Weekend is not off to a great start.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope you feel better, Gud. Also hope you find some compassion around the home.

I'm overwhelmed with stuff that needs to be done. Construction and home organization stuff for the most part. A couple of my basketball sons came today to help, which was nice. They jumped in the pool to cool off when they were finished and I fed them fried chicken and watermelon, both of which were on sale at the grocery store. We decided it was a classic for a reason. No, I didn't actually eat fried chicken, I don't ever remember doing so, although maybe when I was a kid. I had watermelon with carrots and hummus because diet.

It would be nice if my bio kids were more helpful, and yet.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

So my contact lens tore in half and now there's half a lens in my eye and I can't find it and I don't know what to do. Maybe I cried it out already and it feels weird because it's scratched or something? Maybe it isn't really in there anymore? I don't want to go to the Quick Med and pay $50 for a nurse to tell me there's nothing there.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S woke up at 5 this morning, and has been acting up most of the day. Joy.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yikes, Zen. Could you try the flashlight test on the floor around where the contact tore to see if it gets shiny? That is just about the only thing I know about contacts lost or otherwise.

I got a big time eye exam last month, and it involved a lot of bright lights and puffs of air, and even the bullet-proof and seen-it-all ophthalmologist agreed that I'm unusually sensitive to stuff around my eyes. Definitely not on the contact-advisable list.

Sheryl, it strikes me that Mr. S may be on the high energy side, like a working dog (puppy, to be exact) that needs a lot to DO else the boredom makes him act out. What's his day care situation like these days?

The 'Mayor' of Druid Hill Pool 'Country Club' greeted me by name & wanted to know if I had any big trip this year& how was my mom's memory & then later suggested flexibility exercise for my stupid hands. And Mr. Alvin Williams welcomed me with open arms & a big hug & guys, I think I'm officially really part of this crew, not just someone who swims with them.
