A little mid-week retail therapy - got myself the Endgame Cap and Nebula. I still want a GG1 Nebula and several other versions of Cap (I have Ultron Cap), but these will do. Then hit Goodwill and got a large black tote/purse with no seeming brand that will suffice for next winter and 3 graduated small clear pyrex bowls - note something I really need, but my friend in NY had several and used them almost every meal and I realize with being clear, they go with everything and I do love Pyrex. Just over $30 for all of it, so that was super cheap retail therapy.
Walked the dogs and we are now all plopped in the living room cooling off.
I sear it feels like Friday. It should be Friday.
This week has been pretty long. Tomorrow I have two meetings a pot luck and a shave ice truck, so I guess I shouldn't skip it.
Pyrex bowls are a sweet score.
It really should be Friday.
Today I found out that everyone who could be considered my boss (or boss adjacent) will be out on Friday. For a brief moment I thought I'd be able to skip out too, until I remembered that all of *my* staff will be doing EDI training that day. I should probably be around.
I found out my preferred city pool that was supposed to be closed this season is filling, so I'll be buying my country club pass (aka all summer plus morning adult hrs) ASAP. And FUCKING GOING SWIMMING THERE ALL LONG WEEKEND.
Yikes! Tornado went through Jefferson City, MO. Damage photos I'm seeing are 3-4 miles from my aunt & uncle. Not sure where my cousin lives.
Yikes, indeed, aurelia.
OK, I'm impressed, both with Gud for doing it and you for understanding!
Yeah, me too. So proud of people here whose minds stretch in different directions than mine.
Kids these days have all the cool db tools we only dreamed of, when we pushed data uphill both ways.
OTOH, making a website used to be just creating a few html files and throwing them up on a server with some images. Now it's like: create your package configuration for your dependencies and build scrips, create your webpack configuration for deployment, create your babel configuration for your transpilation, create your eslint configuration to keep your code in order, create your test configuration, create your stylelint configuration, configure your .env files to prepare your environment, and then you are ready to get started.
