I finished a thing, a writing thing! It's been months since I finished a writing thing. I seem to remember being good at this once.

sarameg, I hope that the least intrusive treatment options provide relief.

meara, I feel ya. Seasons changing = migraine season for me here.
And general sympathies re: various despairs from the democracy that we were promised. I was talking with a friend yesterday on how I've been no longer willing to look at jobs that aren't actively trying to improve/help something substantial in this world.
Edited: brain is porridge today. So is my grammar.
Sheryl, I wake up nearly everyday to ltc screaming to be let out. Fun times.
I no longer remember how long the kids slept with us. Brendon was 2-1/2 when Bobby was born and we put a single bed lengthwise at the foot of our king size bed that he used, and the crib was butted up next to my side of the bed so I could easily nurse during the night. They had a room where their bunk beds and stuff was located, and they eventually used it, but I don't know when. At 24 and 27 they still don't hesitate to jump on my bed when I am comfy reading and they come by for a visit. Both sets of grandparents disapproved of the room sharing, but weren't interfering by nature, just gave the usual warning that they would never leave, but they did. For DH and me it was simply a less stressful setup where everyone slept better with less drama. Musical beds for years! If I was restless or too warm with all the bodies I would go into one of the kids beds. There was little rhyme nor reason to where we ended up on any given night.

Woo! Do it again!
Been walking the beach every morning at sunrise. Have to say that the effort going down the path to the shore when I arrive is much less than climbing up the dunes after the walk. Helps my mood considerably all morning though.
edit so you will think I can spell

Yay! You're still good at this, I bet.
Here I am, my first day back at work full-time, and I have nothing to do. I've finished everything in my inbox and I literally have nothing to do. Mind you, I'm not complaining, I'm basking.
Bask in your lack of stress, Zen.
Bask like the wind, Zen!
I don't wanna work, I just want to complain about GoT all day
ltc hasn't slept in our room since she was 5 months old and got too big for the bassinet. She is screaming to be let out of her room which has childproof handles on the inside.
We couldn't do room sharing either, after about 5 months. We don't childproof the doors, though (tried that briefly when Jane first started being able to get out of her crib, but it didn't last long). Jane just gets up and comes into our room when she's awake. For a while she was getting up (and waking us up) super early and that was a problem, but we got one of those alarm clocks that turns green when it's OK for her to get up, and were able to institute that pretty successfully, for what that's worth.
My sympathies -- being woken up early by my kids is not exactly one of the joys of parenthood, and waking up to them screaming must be super unpleasant. I hope this phase passes quickly!
