I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope this leads to good treatment options, sarameg.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh hon. I hope you find some treatments that help, but at least no more tests.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm sorry, sarameg. At least it allows treatement options.

In yet another moment of polls being meaningless, Prime Minister Scott Morrison defied the predictions and won the Australian elections. Seriously, every time I see polls and predictions I grumble. False hope is all they represent to me.

Yeah, imagine how I feel. Aside from expecting the Coalition government to be ousted (which it richly deserved), I really thought we had a decent shot of getting rid of my rather unpleasant local member. In the event the only positive is that former PM, Tony Abbott, lost his seat (despite it being an erstwhile safe seat). Now we get three more years of inaction on climate change, wage growth and property market distortions.

On the plus side, there was clear evidence that Australia is the greatest democracy in the world, in that - as usual - after voting you could grab a sanger at the polling station's sausage sizzle.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Both days this weekend I was woken up early by Mr. S pounding on his walls/door demanding to be let out. I'm never gonna be able to sleep late again, am I?

BTW, I'm not mentioning it on fb because family. My brother knows, but not telling parents until I have a plan of action because it'll probably upset mom & with her memory, I'll either have to tell her over&over again, or she'll fixate. Either way, waiting until I have all the answers.

Eta: I am SO my father's daughter in this, it'd be funny if I didn't find it so infuriating to be on the other end at times.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Here's hoping for easy and effective treatment and ALSO a doctor's note for anything you don't want to do.

This sounds like an excellent plan, I like it!

I am very over having a headache (3 of the last 4 days, though I took my meds two of those days, but now I'm out and forgot it was my last refill and am waiting for the pharmacy and the doctor's office to get that together)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Best of luck getting good treatment, sarameg.

Sheryl, I wake up nearly everyday to ltc screaming to be let out. Fun times.

brillig

I finished a thing, a writing thing! It's been months since I finished a writing thing. I seem to remember being good at this once.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

sarameg, I hope that the least intrusive treatment options provide relief.
