I've done some housework and it's a beautiful day out, but I just want to watch Drag Race! Meh.

It is hailing here and looks slightly like the world is ending. Power's already gone out once.
Timelies all!
Woke up at 6. meh.
Hi all. I am skipping and skimming, but I feel like I need Buffistas support to do this. I think I am ready to quit my theatre job. I got the parameters for next year that we need to not pay student workers. I was ready to stick it out a couple of years until they had a full time position ready, which I wouldn't take. However, the amount of time from me required to give credit students a good educational experience is not available.
I received a promotion at my day job that is all about providing good educational experiences that also allows me, monetarily to quit
It means giving up my identity as a theatre professional and that is hard,
But I am thinking that using my theatre skill to make good nurses might be OK, and also I could volunteer and help people that way.
I think you should absolutely quit. Also would you consider making me some dresses?
My mind went to, for everything there is a season. It sounds like it is time for you to make a change.
That sounds like the right choice, Sophia.
Thank you. I think it is the right decision too. I have a student with a good career on broadway. I have made a difference. I don't need the money. I don't have the bandwidth to wade through a three page document to tell me if a student is eligible for pay or to borrow costumes. I want to work with students and I can still do that. But I am also far enough along in my career that I could walk up to a school and say "do you want me to talk about costumes?" And they would let me.
I think you're right, Sophia, FWIW.
I spent a lot of time out on the patio just now -- the temp is about 70, but the wind is pretty strong. At least I'm not complaining about being sweaty?
Yeah, it doesn't sound like you have much doubt, Sophia. You knew the time had come.
