What is even happening?

I don't blame you, sarameg. I think you're smart to make it real.

Thanks Tep.

Theodosia once told me a problem that can be solved by money is not a bad problem to have. I do believe that, and watching what C has been going through is hard (but great for perspective).

C's health is headed in the right direction. He's not in remission, but he's feeling somewhat better (although gut pain currently has him discouraged).

The money/car stuff is just an aggravation. We have a roof over our heads.

I feel for J about college. She's very bright, so I don't think she'll be happy for too long in the workforce without a degree. I've suggested she look into commuting to a state school or Community College part-time -- or whatever is enough hours to keep her from having her student loans come due.

We can contribute to that (which is why we have old cars) and she might get by without (more) loans depending on where she goes and what she takes. There's no sense making her stay in school when she is unhappy. I'm letting her find her own way.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

sarameg, I'm sorry you have something so serious to make real.

Cindy, do you feel like you are juggling flaming chainsaws?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm letting her find her own way.

It's tricky!

sarameg, I'm simpatico. I've got an impingement (I think) that's causing me a lot of pain in the last month. Across my butt, deep into my hip socket down my thigh and wrapping around the front of my shin. I need to see a doctor to find out what's fixable with PT or more drastic measures. But it fucking hurts and it's really impeding daily function. Just standing up and walking around gets me to a 6 of 10 on pain, and walking can get me up past 8. So any local errand requires frequent stops and odd stretchy poses just to get things tolerable. Bah. Decrepitude.

Cindy, that sounds complicated and a juggle!

Sara meg that sucks but I'm glad you have an appointment. I only have the one joint tha at hurts and it's making me nuts, I can't imagine all of them.

My annual dance convention is next weekend, and I'm so bummed I won't be able to dance like usual. The last couple weeks I've managed to do a slow basic dance but nothing fast or fun or fancy, and all my fave people to do fast fun fancy moves with will be in town and I won't be able to! Ugh. But one thing I plan to do with my time off is try a variety of things to get better. It just sucks that one minute has caused months and months of pain and suck. Wish I had a remote control and could rewind...

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It just sucks that one minute has caused months and months of pain and suck.

My first instinct, as a Very Pregnant Person was to say "same."

My feet were so angry Tuesday night that I just took Wednesday off and propped them up all day. I've got no more than 4 weeks left, and I'm pretty over all the aches and slowness and everything.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Buffistas}} Body pain is no fun. Brendon has RA, but his rheumatologist was very encouraging. He needs to actually start taking care of himself, but he will likely have to be in much more pain before that happens.

Kids! Juggling transport, school, and so much more. Fun times. Soon, DebetEsse! You too shall know these joys.

My son and his wife are moving back in here, which is really awesome. We have room and they want to save for a house. It makes it easier on me with extra hands for chores and not worrying about the pets getting fed when I am away and that kind of thing. Also, I enjoy their company.

Some pictures of my son's new (new to him) car.

So cute!! My sister has had I think 4 Fits now. She leases. Loves them. I was surprised how well they handle in the mountains and snow and stuff she lives with.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My first instinct, as a Very Pregnant Person was to say "same."

Ha! Good one.

Coding and Sleeping

That's a full plate, Cindy. Nothing wrong with a little dumping. L is actually paying for the car since he's had a paid internship for a year. We're just picking up the extra expenses like sales tax, registration, insurance (for now), and that sort of stuff (plus a new stereo so he'll have USB, Bluetooh, GPS and that sort of stuff). He doesn't have his license yet, so this car will become the one he gets his practice in. He's been doing some with his Grandmother (also driving a Fit) and with in my wife's car (by far the newest and nicest car in the family). He's never been able to get the hang of driving my car (with the manual and it's kinda quirky since it has 250,000 miles on it) and hates trying.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Cindy, I am sorry so much is going on. Dumping is kinda what we're here for. Unload and stop carrying it all.

Sara, I know you are hating having to go to Drs. I hope they find a diagnosis quickly and can find a treatment to give you some relief. FWIW, I am hearing good things about CBD oil taken orally and rubbed directly on joints.

Gud, you're a great dad and husband doing all the work to keep aged and high mileage cars up and running. The whole family is working together to get Mac up to $5000 to get himself a used car. He has to save $500 before anyone be will kick in $$ to him and no one will give him the money directly, but btw matching his savings, the $ he saved for the last car that I kept from the sale, and graduation gifts, he will get to $5000 if he saves btw $700 and $1000, I think.

Did I tell y'all he got his job back at the movie theater? Well he did. Good thing since his phone is now his responsibility to pay. He's still not really talking or interacting with me at all, but he's doing stuff with my mom, do that's something.

meara - May 17, 2019 5:37:28 am PDT #7884 of 30019

That's something, msbelle. Is he going to graduate from that alternative school?

My first instinct, as a Very Pregnant Person was to say "same

Lol! Yes, similar timeframe it seems too!
