I kind of feel like, bodily ills should be tied to identifiable causes, even if you can't do anything about them so at least you can hate upon said cause. Or, if it is fixable, let you take a shot at fixing it.
I had a headache Mon-Weds, basically, which someone suggested might be allergies? That was satisfying, for exactly what you're saying.
I was having weird swelling in my left eyelid that went on long enough I finally went to the dr. I said I didn't think it was allergies, she said she thought it was, that it was an "allergic blepheritis". I was so pleased to at least have a name/diagnosis. Then I look up blepheritis on WebMD, and imagine my irritation when I discover the cause/diagnosis of my swollen eyelid was...swelling of the eyelid.
Blepheritis sounds like what happens when the cat sticks his tongue out all the time.
Timelies all!
Been dealing with ocular migraines this week, so I have a recurring headache. Advil is my friend, most of the time.
Ocular migraines suck. So do painful joints. We might be getting a bit old, people.
meara, if all you do with your time off is get yourself not annoyed and frustrated it will be time well spent.
That up there is right, meara. I was fretting that I'd accomplished nothing with my month off, and my BFF reminded me that I didn't take time off to Do Things, but to rest and rejuvenate myself.
Yesterday I went and got my eyebrow tattoos re-done, and I wish I hadn't waited so long to do it. Tired of having to draw my brows on. They're just not growing back.
Is it weird that I've been happy to have (baby) migraines most days this week? They're not fun, even if easily treated, but I take them as an indication that my brain is responding to grief and work stress in the usual manner rather than plunging me into depression. For whatever reason, I rarely get headaches when I'm depressed.
Not so weird, Matt.
So my massage therapist just came out to me as trans! I've never known anyone actively transitioning, so I'm kind of looking forward to... not experiencing it with him, but you know?
I'm in the process of rewriting my resume, which is good, yes? Right now I'm trying to Cover Everything and not worry about being too verbose. So double-spaced, it's about 4 pages. SIGH
Jesse, a friend I've known for nearly 30 years transitioned a few years ago, and I'm still stumbling over pronouns now and again, although at least I get his "new" name right most of the time. I can only hope it's easier with someone that I've not had so much history with!
The good part of working from home is I was able to take my migraine pill, take an hour nap, and feel better and return to work.
I stopped at McDonald's to use the WiFi before going somewhere else...since when are value meals $10?!
Your resume shouldn't be double-spaced, Theo. And two pages is fine!

Yeah, I think I'll be fine in person, but screw up constantly in my head for a while. If I can keep it mostly that way, I'll call it a win.
