Good luck, Dana!
Teaching-zone~ma, Noise!
So, I had my meeting with boss to go over my appraisal, which was good, and surprise! I am eligible for a raise and it includes a "market adjustment" to bring us closer to the Bay Area norm for salaries. 12%! So that'll keep me feeling kindlier towards my job for a while.
ND, already in class, but I hope the classes go well. Your plate is so full.
Woot for the raise, -t!
Going to a basketball banquet thing tonight and thinking I should have had my nails done. Oh well.
Wow, that's a nice adjustment, -t!
That's pretty sweet, -t!
Hi M M, long time no see!
I am impressed at Jesse's wordcrafting!
The leave of absence idea was a bust—although the employee handbook includes it up to a year, she said they almost never approve >60 days, and it's usually for extraordinary circumstances. And that's not enough in my mind—I'd just return to the same mess! So sent the official email to my manager, and told one of my project managers, and am about to tell the other. Whew!
Oh, and getting references sucks, Dana! One of the other perks of leaving my job is I figure it'll be easier to use current people, rather than trying to hide it!
Well, I'm glad you know where you are with all that, meara! I hope your job search is easy and you get to enjoy some actual leisure for a while.
