I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, I'm glad you know where you are with all that, meara! I hope your job search is easy and you get to enjoy some actual leisure for a while.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The NYT has 10 years of Trump's tax returns. Reader, I gasped.

brillig

And many in his core support will be delighted to see that he lived so large while losing that much money, because they'll see it as sticking it to the powers that be. Con men are admired, if they pull big enough jobs.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, Matt.

Yay, -t!

Yes, I'm sure his argument will be "Not true" followed by "But it doesn't matter, because I avoided paying taxes, so I win."

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Buffistas are probably already aware that the New Testament Revelation chapter was meant as an extended political metaphor for current events in the early Church. But the leader(s) the authors had in mind were men exactly like DJT. In a bigly sense, he IS the Anti-Christ.

Thrive to spite them

I'm not surprised. I mean I'm a little at the actual figure but I already knew a lot of this. Slate did a really good long article about the casinos. And then I read another hood article about his airline venture but I didnt bookmark it and can't find it.

Trump Airlines was the only time he was am actual CEO because of how the business had to be structured. One of the people interviewed was part of making sure the finances were ok and he said Trump was losing money and the Board (the only time he had a board of directors) was trying to figure out what to do and Trump wanted to buy a basketball team.

I wish I could find that article again.

I've also read several depositions that Trump did and he admitted to lying (he didnt call it lying) about a bunch of his financial claims. He also stalled and balked at questions so the interviewer had to ask again and again until his attorney objected.

My favorite part of the article is the last lines about how Fred Trump's only loss was the money he invested in Donald.
