And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Killing Eve is worth paying for, IMO. But you could also wait for the second season to roll onto Netflix after it's over.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Just a little wind-down time before bed. (Commuting to Malice means I get up at 6:30 because the first panels are at 9.)

I don't want to talk about the backlog on our DVR.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Today's self-care looked like spending $200 on new clothes for me (even though I had planned to spend no money on new clothes this year). This was brought on by having a wedding to attend and going up a size with all my stress eating the last few months.

2 dresses, 3 skirts was the haul. 1 of the skirts is a twirly silver sequin skirt. I love it so much and plan to wear it to the wedding weekend with a black t-shirt and my pink pony's. SO FUN.

Today's self-torture was everything it took to find the 5 pieces I bought. I know lots of you on here appreciate being difficult to shop for. I typically have not been wrt dresses and skirts. The bottom half of my body is a F'in nightmare wrt to pants of any kind, but otherwise I have generally been a fairly typical hourglass figure and can find a-line or full skirted things to work, or go up a size and find sheaths if they are darted or fitted a bit in the middle.

My shape now is just not, my shoulders are still small framed and I think my top half is about a size smaller than my bottom half according to women fashion of the moment sizes (skirts and tops will be my way to go forward). Which is all to say, things were ROUGH in the fitting room. I laughed OUT LOUD more than once at how awful some things fit. I tried on 41 items to find the 5 I bought. No lie. I did not pass up anything that fit due to price. I did pass up one that fit due to coloring being AWFUL on me, but the rest, the rest were all fit issues. It was also over 3 hours in one store.

What store did you go to, msbelle? I just dropped some $$ at Sephora since it's sale weekend. Will order a few more things online probably. Always thinking the next lipstick or foundation will magically make me love my face? Though my eyelash extensions are really making me shockingly happy. Mascara was never my jam but these are awesome and make me feel pretty even without other makeup

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, msbelle. I love the sound of that skirt! I'm sorry the whole experience was unfun. Bah.

Yay for feeling pretty, meara!

I am trying so hard not to buy more clothes. I have SO much, and honestly most of my clothes I really love although I keep changing sizes and a lot of it I just can't wear to work so I am trying to be super practical and have, like, a capsule work wardrobe? Which I thought I was all set for as if a month or so ago and was ready for a full on moratorium on clothes-buying but then we had a mini heatwave and I realized I needed some lighter weight work clothes, too. It's a struggle.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Things are really bad at home. I'm trying to keep my shit together.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I love buying clothes and I hate trying them on. Nothing at all seems meant for a woman with big boobs, big butt, and a round belly, but still having definition at the waist. Apparently I'm meant to be wearing only muumuus.

Allyson, may things get stable again soon.
