This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, Mr S. I hope that doesn't keep happening, Sheryl!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

We'll see. He was a wreck tonight, crying and hitting the door after I put him to bed. He's quiet now. Hopefully he'll sleep through the night.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Can he tell you what he's afraid of? I know ltc often can't communicate that kind of thing.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for the ~ma! Gray Cat came to the front door meowing to be let in at dinnertime. He's home safe now. I'm relieved.

Woo, Grey Cat!

Good luck, Sheryl.

I'm pleased with the current Google Doodle - I recognize (and like) her artwork but I did not know Ruth Asawa's name.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Arrrgh.

Things are settled OK in my family right now, so I'll send all the ~ma for that to msbelle.

And I'm settled OK into the new apartment(I'd been at the previous one about 20 years before the fire, as the previous conversation reminded me) so things should be looking up....

when I get a call from the insurance, saying that the moving-and-cleaning company invoiced them not only for more than the coverage limit(which didn't seem stingy to me) but for pushing twice that amount.

And I've been staring at this invoice, trying to figure out where to start, if I should talk to the agent that recommended them or what. Does anyone have experience disputing this sort of thing?

Oh no, chris! I have no idea of what you can do about that, but what a nasty surprise!
