I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Matt, that sounds like an awful day. I'm sorry.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

Thanks folks. The storms have held off so far, the funeral service was beautiful, and I'm telling myself that the therapist switch may end up being a plus in the long run. Likely to result in fewer last minute cancellations or reschedulings at any rate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, now I'm wondering if you are wearing a yellow and orange paisley top with brown check pants. I apologize bor being the opposite of helpful and encouraging.

I wish! No, I'm just wearing a sweater that doesn't fit that well over skirt for a different season and then tights that tend to bag around the ankle. I mean, it could definitely be worse, I'm just dissatisfied.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry for the awful day, Matt.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I hope your day is going better, Sheryl.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oof. Heading home after a long day on my feet, ankle throbbing, and I get a text from my landlord that the boiler malfunctioned causing all the radiators to overflow. I may have floors in four rooms to clean up when I get home.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have to actually call the dang IRS tomorrow. The check I wrote for my quarterly estimated taxes hasn't cleared, and I sent it 3 weeks ago. Now, the IRS might be swamped, but my estimated payments have always cleared pretty quickly. I googled for what to do, and it said if it's been 2 weeks or longer, call the IRS to see if it's cleared. I might have to stop payment on the check and re-send the payment, dang it.

Laura, our local politics are a shitshow. We're like a month in since the reveal of this particular shitshow (looks like...self dealing? Corruption? Money laundering?) but she's been a disaster from the get-go.

Um, these do not sound like the best days, people!

My day was fully redeemed with trombone practice.

Because books.

I'm sorry for all the bad days. It helps any, I said to a woman caller tonight (who until then had just seemed irritated and sort of abrupt) that I was sorry to hear her husband had passed, and she said, "You don't give a shit, you bitch! Now have that asshole Robert (the funeral director) call me because I am PISSED OFF."

So ... that happened.
