Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Um, these do not sound like the best days, people!

My day was fully redeemed with trombone practice.

Because books.

I'm sorry for all the bad days. It helps any, I said to a woman caller tonight (who until then had just seemed irritated and sort of abrupt) that I was sorry to hear her husband had passed, and she said, "You don't give a shit, you bitch! Now have that asshole Robert (the funeral director) call me because I am PISSED OFF."

So ... that happened.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes! Sorry that happened, Amy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My day was fully redeemed with trombone practice.

{fist pump}

"You don't give a shit, you bitch!"

I second that "Yikes!" On the one hand, people go squirrelly in grief. OTOH, I know that you do give a shit, and that was mean.

Punishingly Intricate

Baltimore peeps, what is up with your mayor? I haven't really seen much about her having issues until this morning.

It is a long and ridiculous story. John Oliver did a bit on it a couple of weeks ago and it's just gotten more absurd since then. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I'm scared to go on the internet because of Endgame spoilers, but I also don't want to do any more work. It's a conundrum!!

I guess I'll do more work.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

May I recommend this video of Schitt's Creek replicated in the Sims? [link]

No Endgame spoilers and it is UTTERLY charming.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

This is the only place on the internet I can go today. Thank god I'm seeing Endgame at 8:30 tonight. (I'm also waiting for my coordinator to send me an article to edit, so I'm really at loose ends. I should continue my re-read of Good Omens.)

I finished my Farscape rewatch so in theory I have lots of time to focus on work-work and schoolwork, but my brain doesn't wanna today. Fortunately I am already thoroughly spoiled for Endgame so the internet is wiiiiiiiiide open.
