I skipped church, that was planned - I needed one day to sleep in after getting up before my normal up time the last three days. Met the parents for brunch at a very night new place.
Now I am home and I really need to start in on work, but I just want to nap.
I made a pot of decaf coffee so maybe drinking that will jumpstart my brain into thinking it should be awake. Maybe should turn on the tv too, I won't work as fast, but it will keep me awake.
Both of my parents are worried out of their minds about mac. "What is he going to do after graduation?" And I have no answer for them. Literally no idea what he is going to do. It's like a race to the nervous breakdown. Will it be me or him?
Timelies all!
We made eggplant matza lasagna for dinner. Came out well.
Mr. S has been terrible all weekend. Dunno if its because of my folks being here, his slightly messed up sleep schedule (he has gone to bed later than normal the last few days. ) or what, but it has been a trial dealing with him.
Happy Easter to those who celebrate, and chag sameach to those who celebrate.
I am contemplating roasting peeps over an outdoor firepit, so that's probably a separate post.
Toasted peeps sound very good to me right now!
I went to visit my cousins who have an infant in the children's hospital right now. They took off the day from going to Miami to visit so they could spend some time with their 4 little ones at home. They are just exhausted. It is a long haul for them to Miami. Baby is doing better but she will still be there a while.
Their 3 year old spent about 20 minutes gently brushing my hair, then her 5 year old sister decided she was going to curl my hair with the brush, and yeah, huge tangled mess. Bobby and Tate tried for about 40 minutes to get the brush out without success, so I ended up driving to my SIL's about an hour away because I knew she could do it. And she did! She put some coconut oil around the tangled mess and somehow worked her magic. So, still have long hair.

Did you do it? How did it turn out? (I keep thinking the sugar crystals would burn too quickly.)
I am SO FULL, you guys. We had a nice few family members over -- two aunts and one cousin+husband+daughter, but crikey. I should have stopped eating after the two cheese appetizers.
1-800-Got-Junk is expensive. $165 just to get them to the door (at least here).
Honestly, the basement is so full of crap that I'm happy to throw money at the problem to make it go away.
(glances around nervously)
I was wondering there for a second exactly who hippocampus was wanting to roast. Then, Oh! Peeps, not...peeps.
Peeps, not...peeps.
Well, we're presuming.
If it is the latter, is hippocampus taking suggestions? Not that I have a list or anything.
(I totally have a list.)
