Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

What is even happening?

I mostly see them on Saturdays in New England, maybe the occasional Sunday, but not usually.

msbelle, I wish it was going better for you.

Our wings are not tired.

Easter plan is to go to clean house for our Uncle and cousins on Sunday. After losing Aunty Nancy and cousin going into labor early poor uncle has been taking care of the 4 other grandchildren while the parents spend as much time as they can at the hospital. New baby still in critical condition. In a way taking care of the kids has probably been distraction for our uncle, but with 4 of them 8 and under I can only imagine what a disaster the house is! So SIL and DIL and I will do some cleaning.

And here I was without a plan for Easter!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Thursday is usually dealer types. This Friday is a holiday for schools and some businesses, so we are hoping for more people. Sat will be half off all or most things. I think a lot of what we have is over priced, but a lot is just not enough people through today.

To nap or not to nap. I have gym at 5:30, so I could sleep for an hour or so.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, Laura continuing ~ma family-wards.

Sorry today didn't go great, msbelle. Hope the next days will be better.

6 hour class on the last day before a holiday is weird. The class itself is fine, more communications stuff this time focused on "dealing with difficult people" which is kind of interesting. 6 hours is a long time, though, and I guess I won't be able to leave early because I'm not getting any of my actual work done until after 3.

But then I have 4 days off, so that'll be nice. And I'll have probably a free meal tonight and definitely a free meal on Saturday and no actual religious obligations as such (other than avoiding chametz in my lackadaisical way), much to look forward to.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Four days off! Your job closes for Good Friday AND Easter Monday? I've never heard of such a thing in the US. (I'm assuming Friday wouldn't be a day off for Passover, right?)

brillig

I had to remind a couple of co-workers that much of the Western world considers this time of year to be a significant holiday. "It's Easter?," I said. "Yeah? Oh, right." "A lot of places won't be working on Good Friday. And they have Easter Monday off." "Wow, really? That's a thing?"

Easter is not a big deal to Mormons.

Our wings are not tired.

Many of my practices are taking tomorrow off. Not sure about Monday.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's a weird week when you have Patriot's Day (the real one) and Good Friday coming together, so naturally it is also School Vacation Week around here.

(The largest religious denomination in MA is Roman Catholic, so you'd better believe nearly everyone knows when it is. Also, since I'm privy to some Jewish friends' Passover preparations, there's a little extra reminder going on.)

And Rosemary is actually at a nearly-normal level of activity for her, which is pretty damn slow for just about anyone else -- she's been suffering from a degrading circulation for years now, so I have hopes that as her recovery progresses she'll have a bunch more vim and vigor appropriate for a 63yo.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my day off tomorrow to make it feel more like a vacation day and less like just another day. But the weather is supposed to be crappy. I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with something that I'd do on a weekend but is too crowded and nothing is coming to mind other than the lady spa, but I'm not feeling that.
