Nice Dana!!
I had a good trip for work meetings and it felt like good meetings...but then my flight home was delayed about an hour and a half (and I don't have status anymore so couldn't get on an earlier flight) and I didn't get home until almost midnight and now I just don't want to work at all
This is the part of the show where the godlike creature re-appears to tell you that was the real test all along.
Well. I shouldn't be surprised, really.
I just had lunch at my favorite (Ethiopian) restaurant by myself. The waitress either remembers me or does a really good impression of it, which is surprising since I probably only eat there a couple times a year at most.
Anyway, a nice dinner's worth of leftovers taken home now.
Your eyes are very striking, Theo. I bet she does remember you.
Alas, Beresheet crashed about 150 km from the Moon's surface. Nevertheless, it's an amazing achievement.
Successfully orbiting the moon is pretty good! And, I would say, it probably did land on the moon just not still working and in one piece.
Am now craving Ethiopian food.
Yeah, that's the word.
Edited: hold on. My earlier post about 150 km? I got it from the last telemetry data, so it was wrong. 5 kilometers. We got 5 kilometers from the moon before crashing. That's incredible. Last picture here: [link]
Timelies all!
We set off early tomorrow for Toronto for FKO. Which means I have to pack for myself and for Mr. S, as Gary gets home late tonight. Which I suppose is better than last year, when he met us there, and I drove the whole way. Still, I'm tired.
It definitely sucks to have lost my job, but I do not envy the people who are left. I wonder how the 7AM meeting went this morning without my manager. I wonder if my former grand-manager, who is now in charge of the team, attended the meeting. I wonder if anyone is going to be working on what they were working before.
