I'm the same way. I was sad to close my bedroom window for the season a couple days ago. Just too hot at night now to let the breezes in the house. Animals are not pleased with me closing the back sliding doors to keep the cool in either. I need to figure out a dog/cat door arrangement, but I'm not sure how to do it here.
And in the world's least surprising development, I just got laid off.

Pretty sure my manager got laid off too, though I haven't officially heard, which I doubt anyone saw coming, least of all her.

Layoffs suck. And they always seem to be handled so badly! Maybe there isn't a good way to do it, but surely there's better than that.
