I went to make French Toast, because I was feeling sorry for myself.
Oldest son called.
I burnt the French Toast.
I'm out of eggs.
I wish I had a root and [whatever that thing is we used to say], which I think Shawn originated.
ZenKitty, how are you doing?
Oh man, Cindy. That is A Lot. Here's hoping things get better for everyone.... eventually.
And here I was, feeling sorry for myself because I woke up thinking that it was Saturday, and then drove out wondering why I was seeing all these people and schoolbuses and so on.
That is too much, Cindy. Sending love and a hope for the balance to move to many more good things / fewer stressful things soon.
Also, wishing for Mac to get any part of his act together, msbelle. Sigh
I burnt the French Toast.
That's just insult upon injury, and I'm shaking my fist at the universe for you, Cindy.
What's on tap for the weekend?
I have a book to finish reading and the first season of Star Trek: Disco to finish watching so I can get them back to the library.
Thing I'm not saying to a MAGA asshole on Twitter:
Of course you're a Cowboys fan.
the first season of Star Trek: Disco
That mid-season dance battle between the Federation and the Romulans was epic. The disco ball on the bridge is surprisingly effective during red alerts.
I'm so sorry,Cindy, that sounds like an epically hard time.
Ha, Dana!
I'm getting my haircut and reblued for the first time since...October? The pile of trimmed hair was the size of a small dog.
Making up songs is an excellent coping mechanism, msbelle. For my personal values of "excellent ", anyway.
I'm filled with awwwwww. One of the kids DH coached, who graduated with Brendon, just sent me a video clip of him proposing to his girlfriend via text. Then texted I'd better come to the wedding. Like I would miss it.
Kids may be frustrating, but they often grow up to be really sweet adults.
I send mostly wordless support for msbelle and Cindy.
